The 2011 East-West Shrine Game kicks off today at 1pm pacific in Orlando, Florida, making its debut on NFL Network. Middle-West Shrine game is the first of two college All-Star Game to come in the coming weeks. Today’s game will not start major functions.

The following is a list of players who decided not to take the Wonderlic this week at the Shrine game…

  1. North Carolina DT Marvin Austin
  2. Ohio State SS Jermale Hines
  3. Illinois OL Randall Hunt
  4. Penn State DT Ollie Ogbu
  5. Miami CB Demarcus Van Dyke

Kickoff is scheduled for slightly less than five hours from now (3 PM Central time, with a pre-game show starting at 2:30), and will be televised on the NFL Network.

Rob Rang at CBS Sports points out a few players who did not have a good week of practice for the Shrine game, and need to have a big game to revive their draft stock.

Greg Lloyd Jr. Back Home For Shrine Game. He started 20 games from 2007-09, and was second-team All-Big East in '09. But after injuring his knee near the end of the 2009 season, Lloyd struggled to return to that form in 2010.

The annual East-West Shrine Game is the most respected and longest-running college post-season bowl game, pitting teams comprised of players from schools in the eastern United States against schools in the western United States.

The same holds true at the defensive ends and pass rushing outside linebackers.
