Dhobi Ghat (Hindi: धोबी घाट) is a Hindi film produced and directed by Kiran Rao in her directorial debut. The film is scheduled for release in cinemas on 21 January 2011.
According to latest news the story of the movie is said to be based on a real life story. The movie is being crafted under the Documentary Drama genre. The movie in all is said to portray an altogether new concept much different from the ongoing movie tales and characters.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions', DHOBI GHAT is written & directed by Kiran Rao. The film is jointly produced by Aami Khan & Kiran Rao.
After recent grand success of Ghazni, Aamir is all set to star the coming movie Dhobi Ghat.
Dhobi Ghat movie is shot entirely in Mumbai during Monsoon season on real locations of Mumbai city. The movie stars four characters in lead role. Aamir Khan(Arun) plays role of seclusive modern art painter.
