TMZ obtained footage of Jeremy Piven, star on HBO's "Entourage," complaining last week about the Super Bowl matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
In describing the upcoming Super Bowl, Piven stated, “Now its Rapist-berger and the cheese heads.” He was met with more laughter as he blurted, “the cheesy rape burger.” The footage of Piven using this less-than-flattering language in description of Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was met with some controversy as the video was quick to hit TMZ.com.
“Jets and Bears would have been the greatest Super Bowl,” Piven said at the Sundance Festival in Utah. “Immediately its Rapistberger and the Cheeseheads. The Cheesy Rape Burger.”
In case you’ve been under a rock all season, Rapist-Berger is a reference to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who has twice been accused of rape, but never charged.
Funny, we always thought the correct term was Rapelisberger.
Piven made the comments about Roethlisberger in reference to charges in 2009 and 2010, as women had claimed the Steelers’ star had sexually assaulted them. Roethlisberger was suspended from the NFL, though he has yet to be charged by the police.
