“This is about Bill Belichick versus Rex Ryan,” Ryan said, addressing the upcoming showdown in Foxborough for the first time. “There’s no question, it’s personal. It’s about him against myself. That’s what it’s going to come down to.”
Rex Ryan said that playing against Peyton Manning was personal. After advancing to the Divisional round in the NFL playoffs, Ryan has turned his attention to his next opponent, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
Why does Rex feel the need to make everything personal? Did he learn nothing from The Godfather I and II? The Jets coach said last week's game against Peyton Manning(notes) was between the two of them and now he's insisting that the same thing this week against Belichick.
First a quarterback, now a coach. If he continues moving up the ladder, I suppose a championship game matchup with the Steelers would be a battle between he and Dan Rooney.
