The iPhone 4 is coming to Verizon. Starting at $200 for the 16GB version, with a new antenna and a hotspot application that would allow you to connect your computer or any other device to the internet.
Verizon CEO Lowell MacAdam announced that the iPhone 4 will be available on Verizon's network starting February 2011.
There's also no Verizon branding on the phone, though that's hardly a surprise given Apple's hatred of all logos that aren't its own.
The first Verizon iPhone will only work on the older, "3G" network. That network has wide coverage, excellent reliability and less congestion than AT&T's, but data speeds are much slower than new "4G" networks both AT&T and Verizon are building. You also can't talk and surf at the same time with Verizon 3G phones.
Pre-orders of the Verizon iPhone will begin on February 3. The price will range from $200 to $300 with a 2-year contract.
