According to witnesses, a young fan dropped f-bombs during US Open and then got into a brawl when confronted by other attendees.
The 2010 U.S. Open, like last year's edition, has seen several contentious moments on the court. Now it appears that some of the drama has spilled into the stands.
According to the New York Daily News, a brawl broke out among spectators Thursday night in section 187 as Novak Djokovic and Philipp Petzschner played nearby. Both participants -- a woman and a man -- were reportedly taken away by police.
A spokesman for the United States Tennis Association stated that "all three people were handcuffed and brought to the 110th Precinct in Queens". No one was arrested, however warnings and a ban from the Open for a specified period of time was given.
